Popcorn Day!

Today is officially Popcorn day; well at least in my book. :) For over two years, I have been deprived of this snack and many others because of my braces. However, earlier today, I got them removed!!!!!!!

I've already stuffed my mouth with gum (I can't wait to try the Trident Watermelon flavored gum) and cracker jacks. My orthodontist gave me a Congratulations Pack with a whole bunch of stuff we couldn't have while wearing braces. :)

But tonight, I'm going to get a movie and make a big o' bowl of POPCORN! I think besides gum, Popcorn was the snack I missed the most. :) So, happy Popcorn Day to you all!

UPDATE: My husband's first reaction to seeing me without braces was...

Husband: "You look different. You look older."
Me: "How old?!?"
Husband: "You look 18 instead of 12"
Me: "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
Husband: "Good."

pooh. :)

Huzzahs are in order! You should eat a corn on the cob... when I got my braces off I kept running my tongue over my teet... smooth! Hee hee.

Congrats on the new teefers! And, enjoy that popcorn! I can remember really missing corn-on-the-cob when I had my braces. Oh, and that elf dip bowl...I bought it at a local housewares store. But, look, I found one for you at Target online:

YAY for no more braces!! Congrats! Stuff your face crazy and enjoy the movie!

My hair was so long- like past the middle of my back, and I chopped it so short (shorter than shoulder length) anyway, it took Huzban a good two hours before noticing! Men!

Great news on the popcorn (and chewing gum) front!

Your new blog layout looks fab.

And sorry, but I for one am happy that you don't look 12 anymore. I say that only because I've never looked 12 .... even when I was :(

Haha! What a cute photo! :) I like how you put eyes and mouth on different foods! (Like the grape in an earlier post!) It is so cute!

And congratulations on getting your braces off! I went through the works, and completely feel your joy! Eat lots of corn on the cob, ribs, and candy apples to make up for lost time! :)

Haha, you don't look 12 anymore. :) That's always good! I've never had braces, so I don't know what it's like to be deprived. I hope you went crazy with the food and ate a bunch of stuff you couldn't have before!

Ha! I got braces when I was thirty--so I understand what you're saying. I couldn't wait to bite into pizza (versus ripping off small pieces with my fingers), or biting into an apple--it was heaven. Thanks so much for the comment on my blog today--so nice to see new faces :). Your drawings are amazing, by the way. I'll come back and check in again.
