new ink pads!

I bought some versamagic dew drop ink pads this week. To test them out, I carved three new stamps. Here they are:

Review: I think I like them. :)

Anyway...here's some news, good and bad...

Good news:
1. I passed all my classes :)
2. I'm in the process of organizing my craft area :)
3. It's Friday!!!

Bad news:
1. I finished reading princess diaries #5 and didn't like it.
2. I'm currently reading princess diaries #6 and I really don't like it.
3. There are about 9 princess diaries in the series, with a tenth one coming out next year. I'm seriously debating whether or not I should just stop reading them altogether.
4. oh, my sewing machine needle broke in the middle of my hemming! I only need 1/2 of a pant leg to go, and then it snapped. ARGH!

weekend fun.

Memorial weekend was very fun. Here's a quick recap:

1. I finished the Princess Diaries #4 book. Cheesy, but cute.
2. I did an 8-mile hike. The first four were in the fog, but when coming back, the sun came out and the scenery was awesome.

3. We had church at the park. That's always fun!
4. I managed to do some embroidering:

Have a super wonderful Tuesday. :)

carving my art into stamps.

I've been carving stamps lately. I used a couple of my old art pieces for the stamp designs. You may recognize them. :) The first one is the February girl, but she got a nose job. :( The first one is about 2 inches tall. The second one is 1 and half inches tall.

I also made this little dog stamp for fun. :) He's very wittle. He's a size of a nickel.

Lastly, I made this for a super blog friend.

It's Friday!!! I can't believe it's raining in Southern California!

Here's a recent stamp that I carved and a piece of fabric a very lovely friend of mine sent me (along with some other amazing die-cuts, stamps, and paper!):

embroidery at work.

Disappearing ink pens are the best! I drew this one with a pen I found at Wal-Mart for two bucks, and then I just embroidered it at work. :) My co-workers' response to it was as bad as if I was knitting baby booties. hahaha But to clarify and eliminate any false rumors, I am actually making this for a friend. :)

When I got home, I removed the ink with a damp towel. This is the result:

I've never really embroidered before, but it's really fun! If you haven't tried it, there are great tutorials out there and you must give it a try! :)

YAY!!!

At 11:59pm last night, I submitted my last final. This means that I am officially on SUMMER VACATION!!! And, my summer school class has been moved to the next session, which means I get about a month off! :) I'm so happy (well, at least until I get my grades..hah)!

During my studies, I bought this book. It was my motivation to study hard. I told myself that this is what I would be doing during my break!

Here's a little sample of what's inside the book:

Have a happy Friday! :)

There's less than two weeks left in the semester. I'm excited but so very tired.

The little fellow in the picture that I drew tonight is pretending to be someone he's not. :)
