pink and blue.

I made two more dolls over the past couple of days. These dolls were luckier than the other two baldy dolls in the previous post (thanks everyone for the nice comments. The mess-ups were in their feet, which I so conveniently cropped off! haha):

When I was younger (and even still today), I preferred dolls with simple and soft faces. I did not care for the plastic dolls with detailed features. Anyway, I had this one doll with blue hair, a blue bonnet and dress, and blue features (and my cousin had the same doll but it was yellow). The blue doll I made was inspired by her. She disappeared after my family moved. :(

Well, the weekend is finally here. I hope you all have a great one! :)

Here are some doll bodies:

I don't know if they will ever get hair and clothing.

I pick you.

Here is a little illustration I did for the trade with Squishy Cute Stuff:

It looks like the storm is over. The sun is shining again. Woo-hoo! :)

Truffle Piggy and Cupcake

I was so lucky to do a swap with Squishy Cute Stuff. Look what she gave me!!!

It's a truffle piggy!!! Mushroom Meadows adores its newest forest dweller!

Also, I won a giveaway from Willy Nilly Waterlily!! I got one of the sweetest little cupcakes ever.

It's raining again in southern California. Fortunately, I don't have work today, so I get to stay all warm and cozy indoors. :D

Hope you all have a fantastic week.

Happy Valentine's Day!

My husband came home with a dozen roses for me. That was nice. Even better than that, he made me a quick card. :) And, I , on the other hand, got him a 2-wheel medium capacity tote cart (aka a shopping cart for his fishing gear). hahaha I'm so romantic.

Anyway... Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you all have a wonderful celebration of LOVE! :)

WARNING: This Post is NOT Cute!!!

I knew I wouldn't be a size 0 forever, but I was, nevertheless, shocked when I jumped several sizes in a span of two months at the end of last year. It wasn't the weight that saddened me, but rather the fact that ALL the jeans and pants that I had accumulated over the past 10 years didn't fit anymore. So, when my sister got pregnant, and I started to notice maternity pants, that got me to thinking and then searching...

and FINALLY discovering this tutorial: How to Convert Jeans into Maternity Pants.

I figured I would give it a try (even though I am not pregnant...haha). So, without further ado, here are a pair of jeans that I thought I would never wear again...

rain and sunshine: an interesting pair.

It's raining in southern California. For the past couple of days, we've had rain, but the rain has been rather sporadic. It will rain hard for a couple minutes, stop abruptly, the clouds will shift a bit, and then the sun will magically pop in to remind us that we're in sunny California and that everything will be okay. (Southern Californians really don't know what to do when it rains.)

Anyway, here are some stickers that I've designed, as inspired by the sunshine in the rain:
