Handmade Paper!!!

I bought a Paper Making Kit and started to experiment with just the paper from my paper shredder (nothing fancy schmancy). Surprisingly, the mixture of paper from my shredder yielded an interesting texture of paper!! I made some tags with my first ever piece of paper (stamping the paper seems to work well too):

This video (although an advertisement for HSN) was super helpful:

I like my kit a lot, but there's ways to make paper without an official kit .

Have a great weekend! :)

That's cute! I also have a paper making kit but didn't make any paper yet...

oh wow, your paper looks way better than the paper I made!

That is a really great texture, and with an extra bonus that it takes to stamps, too. Wonder how newspaper might turn out?

I made ones years ago without the official kit, it's quite easy to make and can be found around the home.

I love the outcome, it looks great with the stamped pic on top! I've always wanted to make my own paper as well but I am way too lazy to make the screen and all that :P

Glad to see you're feeling crafty again!

I've always wanted to try making my own paper. One of many things on the "to craft" list ;)

How very fun -- I haven't made paper since I was in high school. I remember drying sheets of homemade paper on the laundry room window at home! I'm tempted to make some out of the bags of old receipts I have up in my office closet.

They look lovely, especially for your first batch! The first time I made paper it came out... not so well :D
