sharpieART

Just playing around with good ol' sharpies. :D Tomorrow I just might post a picture of myself...stay tuned. :)

leaf rider.

I can't believe I drank an iced coffee at 7:00pm. BAD IDEA! I feel like a jitter bug. Anyway, here's the work that I did today in class:

Thanks for all the lovely, encouraging comments! I finished the BIG PROJECT 15 minutes ahead of schedule, which was 45 minutes before class (just enough time to grab a coffee and drive to school). :) Just a couple more projects, finals, and papers, and then the semester is over!!!

stampTrio

I was once able to study for long periods of time (5+ hours in one sitting), but I've been terribly restless lately. Nevertheless, I have developed a technique that is really quite motivating; basically, if I study for a certain amount of time (half an hour to an hour...hah), I allow myself to do something fun, something crafty. Yesterday, I made three stamps. :)

Here they are:

I have one gigantic project due tomorrow. I'm not done yet, but hopefully all goes as planned and I will get it done before it's too late! :) Good night!

snicker ice bars.

My absolute favorite ice cream is the snicker ice cream bar. I got some from the supermarket and I've been having them as a daily treat. YUM.

Anyway, here is an adobe photoshop edited version of "The Professor".

school doodles.

It's been a week since I've blogged. I guess I was just a tad bit too embarrassed. My big project day making fleece creations was a flop; I just was not having a good sewing groove. The mess I left behind is quite depressing. Besides that sadness, there has not been much crafting. :(

On a great note, however, my dear friend sent me this in the mail for NO REASON WHATSOEVER besides the fact that she's just super! I love it.

Here are the doodles I did tonight:

Quick Photoshop Editing

Looks kinda like something from a textbook

My Professor

Note: He's a great professor! Really. :)

blueberry puff.

This is a blueberry puff. He matches my sheets, oddly enough. He's rather small, even though the picture might portray him as otherwise. My husband likes his eyes. I do too.

There's one more hard day of studying for today, the midterm for tomorrow, and then I get a wee little break to do whatever I please. However, projects/papers/finals are approaching quickly...so I can't slack off too much. Have a good Wednesday. :)

sketchy night.

I forgot my sketchbook at home today, so I had to draw on regular old white paper. Here's my doodling from class tonight:

I've been sewing again. I'm really in love with fleece, so after my midterm I'm going to go buy a couple yards of it. That's my incentive to work super hard this week. :) Or it just might be a consolation prize in the case that I do really poopy. Either way, I'm going to have some pretty fun projects this weekend. :)

For those who have asked me about how I implement photoshop as an editing tool, I haven't forgotten. When I have time, I will share my silly little old methods (which are probably terribly uncouth) with anyone who is interested. :)

Good night! :)

eyelet sketch

I incorporated an eyelet (using my crop-a-dile) and a paper flower into my sketch this past weekend.

The weekend is nearly over, but there is no reason to despair. If the weekends didn't end, then summer would never come. :)

By the way, for those who were wondering, I sketched the picture on kraft paper and then colored it using photoshop adobe. :)

really hot here.

It's really hot here in Southern California. The weather is making me super unproductive. I wish I could just lounge around, but I have a midterm this week which I need to cram for or else.

Anyway, I thought my husband could make me a light box for taking pictures this weekend, but he has stuff to do (like taxes). Go figure.

So...here's one of my doodles that I edited in photoshop. It's already on my flickr, but I thought you guys might enjoy it here.

I have more to share, but I have to wait until I study some more and the weather cools down a bit. I need to reserve my energy. :)

Have a cool Saturday.

orange love.

Here's a sketch I did in class:

I'm going to beg my husband to make me a light box for pictures this weekend. :) If it's successful, I'll post some pictures and give you the scoop on the process. If you have any advice, please share. :)

I'll be back tomorrow. I have so much to share.

Doll Day

Lori from Faerie Window officially declared today to be Doll Day! Check out her site because she has an awesome list of links of all the people who are particpating in doll day!!!

Here are some of the dolls/softies that I made last year:

Thanks for all the well wishes with my midterm. I finally finished it last night at 11:00pm. I'm not too happy with it, but at least it's over. :)

crop-a-dile

I think I've mentioned the fact that I like to buy scrapbooking stuff even though I don't really scrapbook. :) Well, I did it again. I just bought an eyelet setter tool called the Crop-A-Dile. I guess they've just come out with a newer improved edition, so the old one is going on sale at various places. I got mine at Costco. It looks like the picture below (I got the picture from their website). I rather have the green one.

Anyway, so I was debating whether or not I should keep it. So I decided to test it out. Instead of using the eyelets it came with, I used some eyelets I got on clearance from Joann's to test it out. I figured if I didn't like it, returning it would be easier, having left the eyelets they provided unused. Well, after setting two or three of them, I was ready to return it. The back of the eyelets looked terrible...dangerously so!

Well, my curiosity got to me; I ended up trying one of their eyelets. Oh my gosh. There was such a difference! Very clean. Very nice. Very happy. In conclusion, I'm keeping my crop-a-dile (even though I rather have a green one. teehee) and I've come to realize that Joann's eyelets suck. No wonder they were on clearance. :(

From my latest sketch:

I finished one problem. Two more to go! :)

stumped.

I've been trying to finish just 1 problem on my take home midterm all day. Just one!
Yet, I'm totally stumped.

Anyway, here is just one of the doodles I did today:

Colored Version

It's appropriately called "Stumped". However, the girl should really be crying her eyes out because that's how I feel. :(

On a brighter note: there's a 50% printable coupon for Michael's Craft Stores. I'm not sure if it's applicable at all Michael's.

Cakies tagged me. Here are a handful of non-important facts about me:

1. Recently, I had to give away most of my jeans/pants/capris/shorts because I've gained (undesirable) weight. I wore the same size for nearly a decade, and now I have to replenish my entire wardrobe (yay).

2. I have had several eye doctors ask me if I was wearing colored contacts. I don't. I have light eyes for an Asian, I guess.

3. I don't like eating breakfast food for breakfast. I like eating real food for breakfast. :)

4. I use to never really get emotional while watching movies. Lately, however, I've been crying quite easily. Remember how I told you I watched Enchanted? Well, I cried. I really cried when I was watching Sweet Land too. I guess I'm just getting more sensitive in my old age.

5. I need to put myself on a budget. ;)

work doodles.

So, I'm not the only one at work who doodles! Check out what two of my co-workers' doodled today! Okay, so I coerced them to draw, but you have to admit, they've got talent. ;)

Look at the cute little bear...

Just the title of this one kills me...

As for me, I'm trying to consolidate all my sketches in one book. Here are today's doodles:

Winner!

Something marvelous happened today! Not only am I announcing a winner, I am also a winner! I won Laura's giveaway! I'm so, so, so happy!!! Her creations are absolutely gorgeous, too!!! Yay!!!

Besides that, she gave me the best idea to do the drawing. She used a random generator to come up with the winning number. How cool is that? So...are you ready? Here's the winner:

Selle is the winner!!!

Good Morning.

The march2008 giveaway is officially closed, as I just woke up. hahaha :) Lucky for those of you who snuck in this morning because I am on vacation and slept in. :D

Anyway, I'm off to eat breakfast and get ready for the day. And then, I will tally up all the entries. I leave you with this piece that I did last night:

weird fuzz

I'll be back shortly to announce the winner. :)
