cupcakes

About a month ago, my sister bought a cookie press that includes cake decorating accessories. I told her I wanted it, and so she gave it to me. She spoils me. hah :) Thanks buddingcook. Anyway, I've been just dying to use it! And today, I got my chance.

Equipped with my new toy, I baked a box of Betty Crocker Carrot Cake Mix as mini and regular sized cupcakes, and filled the cookie press with a tub of their cream cheese frosting. I started to squirt the frosting all over the tops, and after I was done, I realized that the press requires skill and creativity! :( Needless to say, it was not a pretty sight. So I just ended up using the tip of the gun to swirl the cream around. And thank goodness for sprinkles; they made the cupcakes so happy.

Yum! They're really delicious!!! I ate four or five of them.

I gave this one to my in-laws. :)

Yay for cupcakes! I tried a carrot cake boxed mix a couple years ago, but I can't remember if it was Betty Crocker, Duncan Hines or what! They came out good, though.

I like the cupcake you gave to your in-laws. ;D

Thanks Yuzu. :) Sometimes making bake goods from the box feels like cheating, but it's so much easier (cleaner and less expensive) than making it from scratch! Plus, it tastes pretty amazing.
