Pea Coat Love!

Confession time...I've been doodling at work! I know!! I really tried hard to resist because it's not entirely professional. Today, however, I had very good reason to do succumb to my temptation. It was super busy, and there was no one to train me, which meant that I was left all alone! So, I just occupied my time with doodling. The sad part is that my boss actually caught me drawing. Rats. He just laughed, but I was so embarrassed.

Anyway, here are a couple of my doodles. They are a part of my "Pea Coat Love" series. I'm in love with pea coats. I've always wanted one, but they're so expensive and they're always too big for me (I'm rather petite...or used to be; that is a story for another day). But there are two on the way to me!!! I'll be sure to take some pictures of them when they arrive, just in case anyone else is love in with pea coats as well. :D

Girl With a Nose

I think I like the girl with the nose better, yeah?

I love your drawings, it was lucky the boss thought it funny you were drawing. Your first little girl looks as though she is wishing upon a star. Jane x

Oh they are so cute. I wish I had one of those coats too.
I wish I could watch you draw, your so amazing.

Yeah the one with the nose looks a bit more realistic (although I know you're not trying to be realistic here!). I also love pea coats, but have only owned one in my lifetime and no longer fit into it. :( Glad you had a little time to doodle...what kind of job is it?

I like the thinking girl at the top. And, peacoats, too. I sometimes find them for as low as $25. Not real ones though. I haven't bought surplus in a long time.

OH so cute! I'm petite too - I know how you feel. I bought an Ann Klein petite coat two years ago that fits me perfect. I take good care of it because I know its so hard to find. I bought it at Burlington Coat Factory - so it was definitely a savings.

Bonjour! You visited my blog a few days ago, nice meeting you although I do not know your name! Your drawing are so pretty and so different! Very Nippon style too! Are you Japanese? It is a dream of mine to visit Japan before my son is too old to travel with us. Maybe next year... Love anything Japanese! In particular Japanese toys and design... I will be visiting your blog regularly...

Like the girl with the nose better than the noseless one.

I used to be pea coat crazy too. I think I owned about three or four at one point. Now I only have one (I donated all the others).

I'm kind'a partial to faces without noses, so I like the noseless girl better. ^__^ It's so cute! Would love to see that in color.

Darling, darling, darling!!!! I just love your cute little style! And I too am in love with great coats! :) Just wonderful! (I like the difference between the nose and no nose! hahaha! I feel like it's my face! I too have a small sniffer!)

Gorgeous doodles, as ever, and I wouldn't be able to choose between them!

.... just one thing though .... this thing about being not so petite anymore .... is it making you look older than 12 now??

Obviously, I still haven't gotten over you being asked for ID wherever you go ....

:)

I don't know. I kinda' like the face without the nose. It's weirder...and funnier! Cute way you drew the hair on that top one. And the coats are adorable! Thanks for the comments on my blog and have a happy 2008! :)

Oh, pea coats with all their lovely buttons! I always wanted one when I was little. Not much use for them now here in Hawaii, tho. I guess I will forever remain pea coat-less. *sigh*

I do like the girl with the nose much better. Isn't it funny how a short, simple drawn line can make such a difference?

I think both of them are adorable, but I'm a little partial to the girl without a nose. :0) As for pea coats, I adore them too. I've had the same one for years, and decided that it was high time for a new one this winter. Except, I've looked EVERYWHERE, and can't find one that I like...or that fits me well. :0( Can't wait to see yours!

Adorable doodles. Definitely with the nose - but they're both cute!
