worm.

This is a pretty disgusting picture, if you really think about it. The worm is less than an inch away from her face. eeewww. :) But don't worry, she's not going to eat it. It's simply her friend. :)

By the way, I didn't win the t-shirt contest. Even though they didn't announced the winner, I know with much certainty that I didn't win. Why? Well...they extended the contest, which means the current entries were not satisfactory. Chances are pretty...pretty slim. :) When I get the dreaded rejection letter next week, I'll post my entry (that way, I can start the healing process with all your bloggin' sympathy/pity/much needed support and encouragement/comfort/etc). :D

the Winner!

So, the winner of my FEBRUARY GIRL give away is......

#15...Cretan, you're the winner!

Thanks to all who participated. Don't worry if you didn't win because there will be a March girl in a couple of months. ;)

I leave you with this pathetic doodle. I had a better one but she escaped.

By the way, tomorrow I find out whether or not I won the t-shirt contest!! :) (which I probably didn't...but I can explain why more thoroughly tomorrow ;))

tags, peacoats, and a surprise. :)

I was tagged by Tizzalicious

Here are a couple interesting facts about me.

1. I like pea coats and toggle/duffle coats, if you didn't already know. :) Below are the coats that I currently own. :) The first one is a toggle coat aka duffle coat (thanks Monkee Maker and Yuzu for the clarification!). It's wool, navy, and long. The second one is my favorite. It's comfy, and it has a detachable furry hood.

2. I'm not a dog person(dogs basically ruined my childhood..j/k..kinda), but below is a picture of my favorite dog in the whole world. His name is Buck, but my husband and I call him Bucket, Buckle, Buckly, Buckathy, and several other variations of Buck.

3. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Puggly over the weekend. We found him without a collar running around our yard. He was wonderfully well-mannered and absolutely adorable. Remember, I am not a dog person, but I liked him a lot. We took him to the pound, and we get first dibs on him if his owners don't find him first. Fortunately, it seems like they have found him because he's not longer posted on the website. Thank goodness, because I am quite sure they've missed him terribly.

4. I'm not the greatest with remembering to post blog awards, though, I love them dearly and they truly make my day (if you ever gave me an award, thank you!). Here is one tag that I did remember. It's from Just ZHM. It's a great reminder that we must continue to pray for our country and our world. :)

5. I've never done a give-a-way, so I figured today would be a good day to start.

I have only produced 5 little prints of my February Girl. I'm going to send #3 to one person. Just leave a comment on this post, and I'll draw a # on Wednesday.

Here she is:

FebruaryGirl_Colored.

It's only Thursday, and I've already colored my February Girl. Here she is:

Time for me to finish up my entry for a tee-shirt contest! Yeppie! I don't think I'm going to win, but the stakes are high. After the 28th, I'll give you an update. :)

(oh yeah, this weekend, I will be sure to post pictures, awards, some tagging, and a little surprise :))

February Girl.

Here is a doodle I did during my class tonight. She reminds me of someone, wouldn't you say, bunnyfoodfoo(<----my sister) ;)?

My Sister...I mean, February Girl

She is just a draft; hopefully, I will be able to add some color to her over the weekend.

Ohhhhhh, I discovered that there are glass-blowing, paper-making, and jewelry-making classes offered at my school!!! I can't wait for next semester; who knows, school could actually be fun! :)

Back to homework...phooey.

stamps. :)

Yay for President's Day! Although it's nearly over, I had some extra time this weekend to carve out some stamps.

Here is a little yappie guy on some tags:

Here is the second stamp. I used one of the octopi images from my valentine's card to make him.

Tomorrow it's back to work and school. On a brighter note, at least it's a short week, and I just finished baking a German pancake (late night snack/reheated breakfast)!!! :)

Valentine's Day.

My Valentine's day went well; I hope yours did, too!

Although I strictly warned my husband not to buy me flowers, I was too late; he had already purchased them. I like flowers, don't get me wrong, but I hate when they die. :( Anyhow, I'm somewhat glad he got them for me because they're absolutely beautiful.

I made him a card. :) He really liked it. I guess one of the best compliments he gives me is when he says, "You really should sell these". :)

Lastly, I received a wonderful Valentine's via Beth's Valentine's Day Swap. Holly was one of my swap partners, and she did an amazing job with stamps and embossing (I love embossing!). The card is quite stunning as you can see.

Hope you all have a great weekend! :D

Valentine's Day Card.

I participated in Beth's Valentine's Day Swap. Here is my card design:

I was really indecisive about where to place the girl; so, I ended up not attaching her anywhere. She has a little adhesive sticker on the back, so the recipient will get to choose where he/she wants to place her. :)

I still have to post pictures and awards...so much to do! :) I can't wait for the weekend to come...

Rainbow Puffs

These little puffs are modeled after my cousins. I'm going to see them tomorrow, so I decided to print some out for them.

By the way, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

I spy with my little eye...

A spy

I'm still trying to figure out my schedule, with work and school...and trying to stay alive. But I hope I can blog more consistently once I find my groove. :)

Anyway, I hope you're enjoying the week so far.
