fatigue + stamps = tragedy

Work, school, and wearing boots has taken a toll on my stamp making. I crave to carve whenever I am sitting in class, in the office, or limping to my car, but the moment I get home, I want to die from sheer exhaustion. Nevertheless, I cranked out these babies last night. Though it was slightly fun, the outcome was disastrous. As I have heard, the symptoms of fatigue are similar to that of being drunk. I've never been drunk, but I know that my coordination and patience was lacking. Here is the destruction:

Sad Stamps

On a brighter note, my class was canceled tonight, which means more time+more energy. And when you add that to the tons of doodles that I did at work, oh boy, the combination could be redeeming, if you know what I mean. Also, I received my second pea coat! When I am not so weary, I will post pictures. :D

Note: the original title of this blog was "fatgiue + stamps = poop," but my husband didn't like it. :)

school again.

School is back in session. I still have to work. So the two of those things, consequently, make up the recipe for my procrastinated post. :(

Here are a little doodle I did with some attempted coloring.

I had more but I forgot to save them. :(

Oh, I received one pea coat! I'm waiting for my other one, and then I will post pictures!!!

Pea Coat Love!

Confession time...I've been doodling at work! I know!! I really tried hard to resist because it's not entirely professional. Today, however, I had very good reason to do succumb to my temptation. It was super busy, and there was no one to train me, which meant that I was left all alone! So, I just occupied my time with doodling. The sad part is that my boss actually caught me drawing. Rats. He just laughed, but I was so embarrassed.

Anyway, here are a couple of my doodles. They are a part of my "Pea Coat Love" series. I'm in love with pea coats. I've always wanted one, but they're so expensive and they're always too big for me (I'm rather petite...or used to be; that is a story for another day). But there are two on the way to me!!! I'll be sure to take some pictures of them when they arrive, just in case anyone else is love in with pea coats as well. :D

I think I like the girl with the nose better, yeah?

Saturday Stamps :)

I love weekends. It's amazing how much more appreciative I am of weekends now that I have to work! :D Anyway, I made some hand carved rubber stamps today. Though some of them definitely need some cleaning, I wanted to share them with you before Monday comes along (eek).

Hand Carved Stamps

By the way, have any of you watched the movie Once? All I can say is "wow". I love that movie (I watched it like 5 times and my brother just got me the soundtrack!!!) :)

Thank you!

Thank you all for the well wishes on my new job!!! Two days in, and all I can say is that I am...exhausted. Besides that, I have been wearing boots to work, which has a totally different feel from the the Converse shoes that I normally wear. They're very cool because I gain a couple of inches with them, but boy do they hurt! :(

So, I've been pretty tired, which means I don't really have the energy to do anything too crafty. But my brother and my husband both got me a WACOM pen tablet for Christmas, so that's what I did tonight; I doodled. It's sooooooooooooooooooooo cool. I don't quite have the hang of it yet, but I love it. Here's one of them. I guess it depicts me and the fact that I have been a bit gloomy lately.

Oh, here are some edited pictures I did using my wacom. My husband and I went to Little Tokyo in Los Angeles.

Packaged Stamps.

yeppie! I finally packed up the stamps for the "pay it forward" game and I'm going to be shipping them out this week! :) I ended up mounting them and adding a little bonus in each package; so I think they turned out much better than I originally thought. :D

Anyway, I start my new job tomorrow. (I still have to hem some pants, but that is a story in itself. :D)

Have a great week!

stamp Swap!

So...Happy New Year! :) To begin this year off on the right foot, I first have to complete several promises I have made. About a month ago, I got the opportunity to participate in the "Pay it Forward" game! The gist of the game is that you kindly give something to three other people, and in turn, these people give something to three other people. So in short, all those warm fuzzies get spread out at an incredible exponential rate!!! weeeee just like bunnies!

Here are some of the lovelies I received from Leni, all the way from Germany!!!

Well, I need three people to play this game with me. However, I think I'm going to adjust the rules slightly. If you decide to participate, you can choose to bless 1, 2, 3, or more people! Plus, these people don't necessarily have to be in the blogland. :)

Since I received stamps, I want to give away some of my own stamps. (Please keep in mind, I am very, very, very amateur in stamp making so my stamps are kind of ugly. I mean, they do their job, but I haven't necessarily mounted them or anything. And they're just made out of erasers... because I prefer these erasers to the rubber stuff they sell at the craft store... because they're firmer! They do work though...I hope I'm not scaring anyone off from playing...:))

Oh, wait, there's more. I also promised Holly a birthday surprise.

And wait, I also promised Erika a little something for something sweet that she did for me! :)

So, if you want to play, please leave a comment and make your stamp selection. There are six of them. And if you happen to be Holly or Erika, choose one as well. However, there is only one of each, so once someone chooses one, you have to choose another. :)
